This is the 2nd time Afghanistan going to participate in ODI World Cup. The first appearance was in ICC Cricket World Cup 2015. Asghar Afghan
Asghar Afghan selected its cricket career as an all-rounder in 2009 against Scottland. He played 94 ODIs and also participate as captain in the only test match played by Afghanistan cricket team so far. He also represented his country in 56 T20 matches with an average score of 21.93. Asghar Afghan will lead Afghanistan squad for ICC Cricket World Cup 2019.
Mohammad Nabi
The Former T20 Captain of Afghanistan Cricket team, Mohammad Nabi is also the part of Afghanistan Squad which is announced for ICC Cricket World Cup 2019. Mohammad Nabi got its one-day international debut against Scottland in 2009. He played 106 one-day matches so far and scored 2,435 runs with an average of 28.98. He also took 114 ODI wickets with an average of 31.44.
Rashid Khan
The superb right-arm leg-break bowler from the Afghan side, Rashid Khan, no doubt one of the big name of Today’s leg spin bowling. He started his ODI career in 2015 against Zimbabwe. Rashid Khan played 52 ODIs so far and took 118 wickets. Afghanistan Cricket Board decided to select him in the Afganistan squad for ICC Cricket World Cup 2019.
